20 minutes
It is amazing what a 2 year old can do in 20 minutes. As I was working at the table, I realized I hadn’t heard from Josh for a while. (Translation….What is he into now!) I found him in the bathroom with the whole roll of toilet paper in the toilet. No problem, we have been through this before. I pick Josh up and he says, “No, No, No Josh-ey1” Obviously, he knows right from wrong and I begin cleaning up the mess. I then hear the piano playing, Josh is singing along to his own accompaniment…I then hear a few chords that sound suspicious and I run in to the living room and Josh is standing on the piano, trying to touch the mirror on the wall. I run to grab him and he says, “No, No, No Josh-ey!” I put him back safely to the floor and go retrieve a sippy cup for him, he must be thirsty! As I round the corner to give him the drink, I hear a buzzing noise. Josh is shaving himself with an electric razor! I trade the razor for the sippy cup as he says, “No, No, No Josh-ey.” I put the razor back in the bathroom drawer and the other things he has dumped out and go back to find Josh. This time he is in Brett’s room standing in a drawer with all its contents on the floor, of course. Now, I am getting tired and grab him up. I say, “ Josh what am I going to do with you?? “ I put him in front of the TV where his favorite show “Barney” is on. He surely can’t leave the room, he loves Barney! I need a bathroom break now and when I come out, he is not watching Barney. I figure he is in the den, since he hasn’t been there yet in the last 20 minutes. Of course he is at my computer searching “Yahoo” for something important. By now, I give up and take a picture of my 2 year old and give him a big hug. He won’t be 2 for long and I am going to miss it ;-) BTW, the mess in the den was there before Josh got to it!
Have a Nice Lunch, Honey!
Saturday, I went up to Prescott to visit a friend and have lunch. It was nice to get away with friends for the day and leave Mike to watch the kids for most of the day. Oh, did I say Watch??? I guess I needed to emphasize the “Watch” part to Daddy! Let me explain…Brett was playing a baseball game and Daddy and Josh were there to cheer him on. Mike wanted to be a helpful Dad and decided to coach 3rd base for an inning. Of course, he assumed that someone would “Watch” Josh, because he had an important job at 3rd base to take care of. By the end of the inning, he went back to where he had left him and he wasn’t there….Surprise! Everyone pitched in to help the DAD find his 2 year old. Two moms found a lost little boy in the street next to the baseball field. Thankfully, Josh is OK and Daddy has learned (hopefully) how not to coach a baseball team when he is to “Watch” his 2 year old son!

Nano! Nano!
I admit, I am one of the last ones to get one of these Ipod thingys. I call it my $149 Toilet Cleaner... I guess it is cheaper than a housekeeper. For some reason, it is more fun to clean while singing along to some tunes. (Although I can only put one earphone in, in case one of my kids puts up a 911..)
Since I am from the Mork and Mindy Generation (If you thought of Mork as you read the title... You are one too!) almost all of my CD's come from the 80's and early 90's. I guess as I got older, my discrectionary income was better spent on other things rather than expanding my CD collection. So my younger, hipper, sister-in-laws make fun of my song collection..oh well...
We had a great time at Maiya's Birthday tonight. She is 4 and cute as a button. She has really grown up in the last 6 months.
Jared had the lesson this Month for FHE and he showed all the kids how to "crack" an investigator and "baptize by fire"....Huh?... you had to be there. For a visual, he did a cool trick involving a hard boiled egg, rubbing alcohol and a match....It was a trick only Jared could pull off.
All of the kiddos had fun, except for Brett who pouted in the corner for a good half an hour. He was pretty stubborn and didn't give in - even for presents and cupcakes. He is determined.! Here are some pics of Maiya and Josh. Happy Birthday Maiya!!

Oh My Josh!
Wow! This is my first official BLOG! Thanks to my friend Lisa who shared her blog with me. As I read it I thought, Are you kidding me? How in the world does she have time for this. Get a life! Then I realized she has an awesome life and she is sharing it with the rest of us. Thanks Lisa...
Well, of course I have to start off with a story about my Angel, Josh. He is turning two in a couple of months and I am sure he won't be terrible. Although, he did do something that possibly could be classified under the "Terrible" category. But, I will never admit he is terrible....NEVER! Here is Josh finding some ketchup in the pantry. I found him soaked head to toe in the stuff.
We want to say "Hi" to Gramma and Grammpa Barney in Florida. We miss you! Love, Nicole and Boys (BTW that includes my "Grown-up" Boy too! )
