Brett turned 10 yesterday and he was so excited. Even though this is his "Party" year(we do friend birthday parties on the even years) he opted not to have a big to-do. Instead, we went jet skiing.
We packed up and headed to Saguaro Lake since it is close and we had other thing planned that day. We took a tube and knee board to pull behind the jet ski and had a blast. Brett's favorite thing to do is drive the jet ski. He can't do it alone until he is 14, so one of us gets to ride along with him. I have only ridden with him ONCE, because he scares me to death. He loves to do tight turns and go REALLY FAST. That job is now his Dad's.
When we got back home, we ate dinner and Brett had his cousin Kyle come over to spend the night. The boy's took off to watch an All-Stars game from our little leauge and I went shopping..so far so good.
When we all met back home, the boys went swimming that night and had cake and we called it a night. At 2:30 I woke up and the boys were in their room playing Wii. I told him, enough and time to go to bed. I then woke up at 4:30 and again, they were still playing Wii. I told them, they were out of control and needed to go to bed. At 6:00 am I woke up to piano playing and Brett and Kyle running around the house yelling, "We did it!" We stayed up all night.
I told them they were nuts and if they wanted to be awake, they could be awake and be less annoying. I finally found them at 9 am..asleep. They both crashed on Brett's twin bed and I had to take a picture. It was priceless and finally not annoying.
